Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science, from a top tier university

Years of experience: 3+ years of experience with Java 1.6

Skills Required:

Strong development experience with Java 1.6, Core Java Swing

Strong OO design and development skills

Exposure to Spring, Hibernate and web technologies

Good development experience with RDBMS, specially SQL, Sybase

Good knowledge of multi-threading

Willing to work on different technologies

Excellent communication skills are essential, together with ability to work in a team

Good problem solving skills

Java (Level 3)
RDBMS (Level 3)

Skills Desired:

Investment Banking or Wealth Management experience is a bonus, especially around Risk management.

Exposure to Unix and pub/sub frameworks

Development experience with C#, .NET 2.0 / 3.0 / 3.5

.Net developer with solid C#, WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) and Windows Workflow 4.0 experience, with a good understanding of Windows Server 2008, SQL Server 2008 and Internet Information Services.

XRM and Windows AppFabric experience would be beneficial

Previous experience of integration between systems would be very useful.

In addition to this if we are looking for someone who can help with downstream distribution – both near realtime and batch – then knowledge of queuing systems (RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ), XML, SQL Server 2008 and SQL Server Integration Services could also come in very useful.

XRM and AppFabric experience would be beneficial but would not be an impediment to a developer actually building a feed. it would be more important to get a developer who has previous integration experience in the financial services industry than getting AppFabric and XRM experience, as the latter could be picked up fairly easily

EDUCATION

Full Time Bachelor’s / Master’s degree (Science or Engineering preferred)
